Hatchery upgrade to help improve native fish numbers
Native fish numbers in the Gwydir valley are expected to increase as a result of improvements at the Bingara Fishing Club Hatchery. Works to repair two native fish breeding stock dams are now complete and new fish have taken up residence.

Floating Habitat Island – a first for regional NSW
In a first for regional NSW, Central Tablelands Local Land Services has partnered with Orange City Council and the Environment and Waterways Alliance to build a Floating Island at Gosling Creek Reserve to improve habitat for migratory wetland birds.
